Artist Statement

I have been interested in how people have formed the knowledge of their surrounding environment, and using their body and sense to explore the understanding of themselves. So my work involves body and interaction, and are concerned with the process of art making and the experience. For me, art making is both psychological and practical, for example, like returning to one’s childhood and exploring the unknown. I want to seek qualities in body or materials that are in its most natural state. A poetry body is beauty in being itself. The fragile, vulnerable and redundant quality of the materials reveal a sense of instability and longing for past.
